Agapanthus
South Africans with usually blue onion like heads in midsummer. The hardiest forms die right back in the winter and those that do not die back may well get frosted to the ground. Very good and flower freely when root-bound in pots but also effective in the garden. For sun on drained soils. Thrive on quite harsh summer weather when other plants may flag!
