Grasses
These form the structural backbone of some of our naturalistic plantings. We find that you need the bigger grasses to give any shape to plantings. Miscanthus and Molinia are the biggest of all and very effective late in the season. The Stipas are particulary attractive and the Deschampsias are native and have good golden panicles which persist and are good in half shade.
